The Red Armband of New Zealand is written by a guy called Mark who lives in a cave deep underneath the city of Christchurch, New Zealand.

Official news stories are often forced to present a censored and restricted view and must be written following strict guidelines. has an unrestricted view of the news. The red armband represents blood to suggest a human author rather than a machine. Yes, this was lifted from Terminator Salvation.

Mark has a keen interest in photography and worries that he talks about himself in the third person too much.

The Red Armband

In England, the captain of the England Football team wears a red armband to signify them as the leader.

In Terminator Salvation, the resistance fighters wear red armbands to represent human blood and so promote their status over machines.

Nemo Me Impune Lacessit

Latin for “No-one attacks me with impunity”. This relates to my belief that all people now have an international voice. Resistance fighters used to die trying to get their message out to the world. Now all someone has to do is create a blog or update their Twitter account.

People can no longer be silenced. You can’t suppress people without fear of retaliation.
